African Cooking Recipes Question And Answer
Crocodile meat?
Anyone have a recipe for cooking crocodile meat?
While hunting, Daddy shot a really big African crockodile.
Brought it home, skinned and clean, cut in 2 KG chunks.
He now wants some of it cooked and I do not have an idea how to go about it...
(He said that aligators and crocodiles are not the same).
The meat is reddish, and not like fish at all.
Rather like a pink firm chicken...
Any ideas or suggestions?

It can be cooked like firm fish( Shark, Sordfish, Marlin) would be cooked. This can be grilled , sauted, broiled. It can also be cooked is sauces. Remember not to over cook it. When over cooked it will get rubbery and hard to chew .
i have never had any experience with crocodile meat.........i have all other kinds of wild game.........maybe you could find some help on the computer.........i have no clue and not sure i would really want to............
I hear that frying it is pretty good. I do not know. I have had alligator before and it was fried...but you dad is right. They are not the same. I'm sure if you googled it you might find something there! Hope this helped a little!! :)
