African Cooking Recipes Question And Answer
do you cook any food that relates to your ethnicity. if so what? is it your favorite?
me, well soul food is associated with african americans. i try to cook it all...but i'm a vegetarian. so if i cook meat for someone it is bloody because i don't taste-test or know when it is done. but i do like eating greens (without the meat) and biscuits is considered a soul food. and i love them muchas...i'm not sure about baked macaroni or baked beans but i know i love them.
i've surprisingly never tasted african food. but i may include a recipe with xmas dinner. i like desserts, and too many african desserts include fruit. i like chocolate in my dessert. not so much fruit. any recommendations???

I'm German and I could cook you a bratwurst on the grill. That's about it. But you must bring me some greens and I'll also take some yams and black eyed peas. Thank you.
I'm Mexican, and yes I do cook lots of food that relates to my ethnicity. I live on beans and rice, heh. I'm always eating foods like pozole, chilaquiles, sopitos, etc. I'm not sure if you know what those are, but they are all tortilla based (except for the pozole, that is kind of like hominy) and they are delicious! I'm a vegetarian as well, but I usually just use soy meat in my pozole, or something.
rice & curry
Uh....."cooking"......would involve me actually going into....that kitchen-room...and...well.....I guess....cooking.
With the pots and pans and food and whatnot.
No thank you. I'd rather not......
i cant cook to save my life lol.....my mom usually does the cooking or my x. ill eat just about n e thing and everything so i dont care....oh and I'm African American
sure i eat crackers
Well, I don't necessarily cook, my mother does. But she's made great sweet potato pies and turnovers! That's something I usually don't see too many White people eating, around the holidays, pumpkin pie is big for them! My whole family prefers sweet potato pie and that is a part of Southern/Soul food cooking.
To be honest so called "Soul Food" is not good for you. Chitterlings (pig intestines), pig feet, sweet potatoes etc. Please for your health sake stick to being a vegetarian!! To answer your question I rarely eat soul food unless I doctor it up with healthier choices.
