hi i love chinese food and want to cook it at home for my family im looking for an authentic chinese recipe for chicken in plum sauce(i can never find the right plum sauce at the super market) and mongolian beef .also can some one advise me which brand soy sauce is the most flavorsome.thankyou

I don't know for plum sauce and beef sauce because me and my boyfriend shop at 99 Ranch Market or T&T Supermarket to buy authentic sauces. As for soya sauce, we always buy Lee Kum Kee brand. The deluxe kind is really yummy. They make a fish variety for seafood, too. I'm not Chinese but my boyfriend is from HK.

Countries and supermarket differ so I suggest two things If there is a chineese resteraunt u frequent complement the chef and ask what plum sause brand they use... chances are its not top secret. They will be nice enough to write it down for you. Second, by chineese groceries in a chineese grocery store... the speciality isle in the supermarket just wont wok :)
