Chinese Cooking Recipes Question And Answer

Oriental/Chinese Cooking Help! I'm looking for that same kind of?

coconut sauce many Chinese restuarants make and put over chicken. There are no mushrooms or anything though the sauce, totally smooth and whitish, slightly sweet. They say it's got coconut milk, sugar, and butter in it, but I know by the taste that there is a little ginger in it too. I tried putting this together so many times it's not funny, I can come "close" but it's still not it. Does anyone out there know this exact recipe? I'd very much appreciate it if you do because it's delicous over boneless-skinless chicken cuts.

I've tried to mimic that many times and although I've come close it never seems to be quite as good as at the restaurant..perhaps because I know I have to do the dishes? lol try using the ginger as a seasoning on the chicken first then covering with the sauce...will hold more of the flavor. sorry if this doen'st fully answer your question ...good luck
try looking in the "ethnic foods" section of your grocery stores
I'm not sure if you'll be able to find Goya or Costamar brand up there but you can try in the Caribbean foods section, it comes in cans: http://gourmeton.com/coconut-sauce/ Your right though, it is delicious, your making me hungry, LOL Good Luck, Tony ;-)
