Japanese school lunches usually comprise of several different small dishes all in the same container, usually eaten cold. First and most important is rice. Usually with no topping. Aside from that you can take your pick, but common additions would be some fried chicken, fried fish, some boiled vegetables, maybe a cherry tomato, some potato salad, and usually some fruit, perhaps a wedge of orange.
