Sorry but in the Japanese culture they don't have curries like Indians,Thai's etc. If you want to make a home-made,different Curry pls feel free to visit 1 of the 1'000 websites offering it.
Do you mean you are tired of curry powder cubes that come in a box like SB curry? That is pretty much the only type of curry most people use in Japan. Some people, however, use real Indian or Thai curry powder and make curry from scratch. Check Indian curry recipes.
Obiviously yall haven't been to japan. They have fast food curry its the best (I've been to Inidan and Thailand ... there sh** is so hot you can't taste it). If You go to Japan go to COCO Curry baby. As far as the reciepe ... I can send you the store bought stuff in Japan its great.
How to cook Japanese curry using curry roux (basic) from wikipedia:
"Japanese curry rice is made from rice, curry sauce, vegetables and meat. The process of making the curry starts with sautéeing chopped vegetables and meat in oil, margarine, or butter. Once the meat has been browned and the onions softened, water is added and brought to a boil. The ingredients are then simmered under low heat for about 20 minutes, or longer if more tender meat is desired. Finally, the curry mix is added, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes to dissolve. The curry is then ready to be served."

note.
*The basic vegetables in common Japanese curry are potetos, carrots, and sliced onions.
I also add mushrooms, broccoli, and etc.
*you would use seafood mix instead of meat as well.
*Japanese Curry is usually served with steamed plain short-grain rice.
*When you serve the curry, you can put brown source on the curry if you want.
