What is the name of Cream of Tartar, in Japanese?

I am cooking in Japan. My problem is, alot of recipes I find in my english cookbooks and online, include, cream of tartar. I cant find this in the Japanese supermarkets that I go to. Does anyone know what the japanese name for cream of tartar is?

My dictionary says... cream of tartar 酒石英◆酒石の粉末で、生クリームに加える。 (shu-seki-ei) I am Japanese. But I have never seen cream of tartar yet. Japanese might not eat ones. I have no idea insted of cream of tartar in Japan.
