Russian Cooking Recipes Question And Answer

Do you think you would buy a Russian cookbook (in English)?

I enjoy cooking and creating new dishes. I truly do. And I like sharing my recipes. By now I have a huge collection of very good Russian and generally Eastern European recipes: appetizers, salads, soups, meat, fish, side dishes, pies, cakes, etc. * Would you be interested in such a book? * Would you like to have it in your home collection? * What exactly would you like to see in it? Thank you very much for answering. I truly appreciate your ideas and time!

I would love to see more cookbooks like that. There are so many easy/tasty american dishes but, their so over used. My collection so (working on it!) consists of southern cookbooks, italian cookbooks, mexican cookbooks. I think it'd be great to see more foreign foods. I prefer the ones that arae set up in the traditional method: hot/cold appetizers, drinks, soups, salads, main dishes, sides, desserts.
No. Russia is not known for it's culinary prowess. No. I don't collect cookbooks. Borscht.
I think a Russian cookbook would be a welcomed addition to any foodies collection.
Yes! Look at the cookbooks selection in Borders, Barnes & Nobles, Amazon, or any bookstore and you'll see 8 million Italian, Chinese, Diet, or BBQ cookbooks. There is a huge shortage of European cookbooks. It took me months to find a German cookbook and it isn't even that good! A Russian and Eastern Block cookbook would be a great idea and something that there is not already out there. I would suggest including pictures of every dish since most Americans (and myself included) do not know what various dishes are. I'm 1/2 Finish and have no idea what Finish food is and have never seen a Finish cookbook. I'd buy it!
I would buy it since I love Russian and Eastern European foods like Galushdi (Cabbage Rolls). But I don't think anyone else would since this is too foreign a food choice for most stupid Americans.
